Study System:
The student passes one stage to the next or graduates after success in meeting academic requirements and obtaining a cumulative total (CGPA) of at least 0.2
A student with a cumulative total (CGPA) of less than 0.2 may re-examine courses where he or she is rated well at most to raise the cumulative total (CGPA) to the minimum graduation level = (2 CGPA) with the highest grade calculated only in the calculation of the cumulative total (CGPA).
The regulation sets out the courses of study at different levels of study, the number of credits for each course, and the distribution of courses as a model between different levels of study from level I to level 5, as well as a brief description of each course's content.
The maximum academic burden for the first or second semester ranges from 19 to 21 credits according to each semester's curriculum. Students are allowed to decrease the number of hours recorded in each semester according to their preparedness, attainment, and cumulative rate (GPA; Average Point Grade), a student may register an additional 3 credit hours (3 Hours Credit) for the maximum in the classroom if his graduation depends on it
The minimum accredited hours a student studies in each of the first or second semesters is (12 Credit Hours) 12 accredited hours.
The student applies for the summer semester so that the student's academic burden for the courses does not exceed 9 credit hours (9 hours credit) and the student must attend during the summer semester satisfactorily to allow him to enter the exam.
The semester involves periodic editorial, practical, or clinical examinations for each course and holds a final examination for students at the end of the semester. Each department of the faculty determines the quality and methods of the examination (practical, clinical, oral, and theoretical) and conducts it after the approval of the faculty council.
The student's success in the course is required to receive at least 60% of the total exam scores allocated to the course.
The student should follow the practical lessons and lectures each semester and the Faculty Council at the request of the competent departmental boards deny the student to take the exam if it considers that his attendance and performance of the practical requirements is unsatisfactory. In this case, the student is deemed to be an F in the courses in which he is denied an examination and is assigned an F degree in this course unless the student applies with an excuse accepted by the Faculty Council. The student is deemed absent by an acceptable excuse if he meets the conditions of attendance in the courses for which the excuse was given, namely that the student's absence shall not exceed 25% of attending practical classes and lectures for each semester separately.
The applicant is allowed to register for the course in which he failed (he got a poor and lower score), and if the course is retaken and succeeded, the new degree is given to him.
The Department Council determines the grades of periodic examinations for courses studied by the Department through the grades of the semester after the approval of the Faculty Council and announces the grades of periodic examinations for each student before the start of the semester exams.
For each practical course in dentistry, the student must meet the requirements before being allowed to enter the course's exam. The department board shall determine the requirements for each course. The approval of the faculty board shall be taken and announced to the student in the first semester in which that course is taught.
A student is allowed to withdraw from one or more curricula subject to the minimum quarterly study burden within a maximum period of ten weeks. The student is given a withdrawn estimate (W). This estimate is not included in calculating the student's cumulative rate (CGPA).
The previous requirement (Prerequisite) is a course that must be completed to study a subsequent course. The student may register for a simultaneous course with the former applicant if he has studied the previous requirement and failed it or if his graduation depends on it after the consent of the academic guide and the dean of the faculty.
Academic Guidance:
An Academic Guidance Committee is formed from the faculty teaching staff members and is responsible for assisting their scientific and practical skills as well as helping the students during the academic years to overcome any difficulties or problems.
Attendance Ratio:
A student's attendance at any course shall not be less than 75% of the number of theoretical, practical, or applied hours of the course during the semester. If the student exceeds the rate of absence of 25% of the total hours of the course, the student is deemed to be a deposit unless such absence is an excuse accepted by the Faculty Council after taking the opinion of the competent Scientific Department Council. In this case, the student is deemed withdrawn from the course and must re-register it.
If the student is absent from the mid-term exam, the dean of the faculty cannot accept it based on the documents submitted by him or her proving his or her excuse within one week of the date of the test. The dean may, with the consent of the dean, conduct a compensatory test for the student.
Students who were unable to enter the final examination of the course because of a compulsory excuse accepted by the Faculty Board give the student an estimate (incomplete) and are allowed to apply for an incomplete examination (INCOMPLETE) under the following conditions: -
The student must successfully examine the years and quarterly work.
No more than 25% of the total practical lessons will be absent in practical lessons and the exam (INCOMPLETE) will be scheduled as determined by the Faculty Council.
If the student is unable (to the minimum) to complete the study requirements of a particular course by the end of the semester, the student gives a degree (Incomplete course) and course instructor fills out a module (incomplete) specifying the reasons for giving him this degree and the assignments that the student has not completed and the duties required of the student to complete the course and adjust the degree to complete the requested before the end of the late registration period for the following semester (I or II) Otherwise, the student receives a Fail "F" deposit rating in the course. Incomplete course hours are not counted within the study load hours of the term in which he or she completes if he or she is a single course.
Evaluation and Provisions System:
The student's success in the course is required to receive at least 60% of the total grades allocated to the course in an estimate (D).
To succeed in the course, a student must receive at least the percentage established for the admissibility assessment of the total examination allocated to the course, provided that the degree obtained by the student in the final written and practical examination of the course shall not be less than 30% of the total grade of the final written and practical examination of the course. So that the degree of examination of the student is monitored but less than 30% do not collect their grades in this article.
The compulsory faculty requirements for skills development, the optional faculty requirements for skills development, and the compulsory or optional university requirements are subjects of success and failure and do not include grades to total grades or cumulative total. The student is considered successful if he receives 50% of the faculty degree.
To re-monitor the scores submitted within two weeks of the announcement of the result, the grades of the article are only re-monitored and are not rectified by the provisions of the law.
The Law of Universities Organization and its Executive Regulation is applied concerning the number of repetitions per level of study.
A bachelor's degree requires success in all compulsory, optional, and university requirements.
Withdrawal:
The student is allowed to withdraw from the course within a maximum period of ten weeks and the student is given a withdrawn estimate (W) and this estimate is not included in the calculation of the student's CGPA.
Failure:
The student must re-study the compulsory course if he receives an F rating and in case of success, he gets the higher rating he received in this course.
For the optional rapporteur, the applicant may change it by another decision when failing per the regulations of the organization and once.
Honors:
The honors rules are as follows:
First-class honors: it is awarded to a student who receives a cumulative rate (CGPA) of 7.3 or more at graduation if he or she is not in any curriculum during his or her faculty enrolment and has not been subjected to any disciplinary sanctions during the faculty period.
Second-class Honors: it is awarded to a student who receives a cumulative rate (CGPA) of not less than 4.3 and not more than 7.3 at graduation if he is not in any curriculum during his faculty enrolment and has not been subjected to any disciplinary penalties during the faculty period.
Graduation Requirements:
To ensure graduation, the student must pass all courses successfully, including compulsory, elective, and university requirements, and receive an average cumulative rating of at least 0.2.
